High radiation measured at reactor 1

Today radioactive steam emitting from reactor 1 was found to contain 3000-4000 millisieverts/hr of radiation.  The steam is attributed to the water pooling in the basement of reactor 1.  (This is reported to be the highest level measured in the air at the site, and was measured remotely by a robot.)

The contaminated water continues to be an enormous challenge at the site, with predictions that within several days the water will overflow to the ocean.  Additional water storage tanks were en route to the site.
